With doubled strand of heavy cotton yarn, baste top edge and corners together. Note: It is very important that basting yarn is cotton. Cotton is easier to remove after pillow has been felted.
Felt Pillow: Weave in ends (except ends of basting yarn). Place pillow in washing machine. Wash using hot water, maximum agitation, and a small amount of laundry soap. Check progress of felting every 3-5 minutes. Remove pillow from washer before spin cycle. Repeat wash cycle until desired level of felting is achieved. Rinse in sink. Gently squeeze excess water from pillow, pull into shape and allow pillow to dry. Remove basting cotton. Insert pillow form. With A, sew top edge and corners closed.
